Showcasing sport in art "Chasing Lines" The release of a new series of artwork celebrating sport in the olympic year.
April 25th - June 2nd
The work features various contemporary athletic designs where the artist has tried to portray speed and movement.
"It took over 8 months to come up with a concept which I felt I could work with and a further 2 years to create the series.
My goal was to respond to the speed and passion behind the sport by focussing on Line and Form.
It all began when I was offered the chance to sketch the Olympic Synchronized Swimmers who were practicing in Aldershot at the time; at first it seemed impossible to sketch at such speed and eventually decided on a definition of form rather than realism.
I then began working on a technique and once I'd worked that out I began investigating body form and Sports.
